Nikolas Oikonomou

Quantitative Investment Analyst

Nikolas Oikonomou joined RiverNorth in 2026 and serves as a Quantitative Investment Analyst.  He is a member of the Investment Team, supporting the team’s quantitative and algorithmic trading initiatives. He initially joined RiverNorth as an intern with the Investment Team before transitioning into his current role.

Prior to joining RiverNorth, Nikolas was a Data Scientist at Augmenta , an agricultural technology firm, where he developed optimization and predictive algorithms for the company’s precision farming product suite.

Nikolas graduated from the University of Chicago with an M.S. in Financial Mathematics. He holds a B.S. in Data Science from Maastricht University.
