RiverNorth Announces Four New Hires

RIVERNORTH IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE ADDITION OF FOUR NEW TEAM MEMBERS.

Crane Chen has joined RiverNorth's programming team as a senior software developer. Prior to coming to RiverNorth, Crane focused on the technology side of back-end data calculation, reports generation and data integration as a senior software developer at Morningstar Inc. Crane earned a B.S. in Management Information Systems and an M.S. in Information Technology, both from Huaqiao University. He also earned his M.S. in Software Engineering from Loyola University Chicago. Crane is responsible for data operations, development of proprietary applications and the core infrastructure at the firm.

Michelle Chang will serve as a Financial Analyst responsible for quantitative portfolio analysis and marketplace lending strategy development. Prior to joining RiverNorth, she was a Trading System Engineer at Jump Trading focused on large scale project management, trading system optimization and automation across various asset types, including U.S. Treasury bonds, commodity futures and equities in U.S., European and Asian markets. Michelle began her career as Trading Assistant with Peak6 Investments, where she focused on U.S. equity option trading. Michelle graduated from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with dual M.S. degree in Financial Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Andrew Kerai will serve as Senior Investment Analyst. He is a member of the investment management team and is responsible for research, as well as assisting with trading and portfolio management. Prior to joining RiverNorth, Andrew was Lead Portfolio Manager of an actively managed open-end mutual fund which primarily invests in the equity securities of publicly-traded Business Development Companies (BDCs). Andrew was previously a senior equity research analyst at National Securities Corp. covering publicly-traded BDCs. He began his investment career as a portfolio analyst within high yield bonds and leveraged loans at Prudential Investments. Andrew graduated Summa Cum Laude from American University with a dual major in international finance and accounting. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Kevin McNamara joined RiverNorth in 2015 and serves as Accounting & Operations Specialist. Kevin is responsible for various accounting and operational aspects of RiverNorth's funds and limited partnerships. Prior to joining RiverNorth, Kevin was a Senior Accountant at Cohen Fund Audit Services. Kevin was responsible for the completion and detailed review of engagements which included mutual funds, ETFs, collective investment trusts, hedge funds and custody exams. Kevin is also well-versed in pricing securities and the audit implications of various types of flow-through securities. Kevin graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Finance and earned his MBA from the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
